Y-Chromosome DNA Testing

Finding family members through the paternal line

The Y-Chromosome is passed down from father to son (the paternal line), which means if you and your brother, or nephew or cousin, have a common male ancestor, you'll share the same Y-Chromosome.

Who is this test for?

People who want to find out if the men in their families are related through the same father or grandfather. This test is particularly useful when a paternity test cannot be performed.
